Outdoor Learning
At Wheatley Hill Primary, we are embedding a range of exciting outdoor activities into our curriculum. Every class from our Two Year Old Provision to Year Six have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities. Our activities include forest schools, outdoor education and residential trips to the Lake District - our Year 5/6 children even take part in an annual skiing trip to Chamonix, France.

We work with a team of specialist outdoor education instructors to ensure that our pupils receive the best possible standards of learning whilst outdoors. These activities are linked to work the pupils complete in the classroom but also help to develop much more valuable life skills like team-working, risk taking and help to build self confidence.
