The Year 5 children headed off to the beach to take part in some Beach School activities. First of all the children had to learn how to safely set up the large group shelter. In order to do this, they had to learn how to use tools safely. Once the shelter was completed, the children headed down onto the beach to learn about the beach environment, sealife and the geographical features of the area. The children also carried out a fish investigation, where they were able to observe, touch and prepare real fish.

The children were very brave, especially when taking part in the fish investigation.
